Build, edit and manage WordPress with Claude.
Everything you need to install Wire MCP, connect Claude to WordPress and start working with your website through natural-language instructions.
Introduction to Wire MCP
Wire MCP connects Claude to WordPress and gives Claude structured capabilities for working with your website.
Claude handles the conversation, reasoning and instructions. Wire MCP provides the WordPress-side connection and supported capabilities. WordPress stores and renders the resulting website.
Claude thinks. Wire MCP connects. WordPress executes.
Before you begin
Wire MCP works with a normal WordPress installation. You need:
- A WordPress website
- Administrator access to WordPress
- Wire MCP installed and activated
- A supported AI client such as Claude
- Elementor installed when using Elementor workflows
- Elementor Pro installed separately when using Elementor Pro-specific functionality
Licences are separate
Wire MCP Pro and Elementor Pro are separate products. Elementor Pro must be purchased and activated separately when its functionality is required.
Install Wire MCP
Wire MCP installs like any normal WordPress plugin.
Download the Wire MCP plugin ZIP.
Sign in to WordPress Admin.
Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
Click Upload Plugin.
Select the Wire MCP ZIP file.
Click Install Now.

Your first Wire MCP task
With Claude connected, describe what you want in plain language. A small task is a good first test.
Typical workflow
- You describe what you want.
- Claude inspects relevant website information.
- Claude plans the change.
- Wire MCP performs supported WordPress and Elementor actions.
- Claude can verify the result.
Build Elementor pages with natural language
Describe the result you want rather than naming every Elementor setting or technical control.
Native structure, not an HTML widget shortcut
Wire MCP should use native Elementor Containers and available widgets so the result remains editable inside Elementor.
Edit an existing Elementor page
Targeted instructions produce the most predictable results. Say what should change and what should remain untouched.
Name the section you mean
“Update the pricing section” is clearer than “update the third block.”
Use your WordPress Media Library
Claude can use suitable images already available in WordPress where the supported workflow allows it.
Content image
- Trainer photo
- Product image
- Portfolio screenshot
- Gallery photograph
Background image
- Hero background
- Decorative section image
- Atmospheric background
Build for desktop and mobile
Wire MCP can help Claude create and adjust responsive Elementor layouts so mobile is part of the build rather than an afterthought.
Build from a screenshot or visual reference
You can provide Claude with a screenshot or visual direction and ask it to reproduce the structure and visual style using Elementor.
Structure and direction, not a guaranteed pixel copy
Results depend on the widgets, fonts, effects and assets available on the WordPress site.
